Azerbaijan and Turkey discussed economic cooperation at a meeting between representatives of Azerbaijan’s Economy Ministry and a Turkish delegation in Baku, Trend News Agency reported.


Azerbaijan’s Deputy Minister of Economy Elnur Aliyev noted that measures have been taken to support and develop the country’s economy, as well as stimulate business.


Touching on the restoration work carried out on Azerbaijani territory liberated from Armenian occupation following the Second Karabakh War, Aliyev emphasized the active participation of Turkish companies in regional projects.


According to Turkish Deputy Environment Minister Demirtas, who also attended the meeting, the  participation of Turkish firms in architectural and urban planning projects will contribute to the creation of new enterprises and jobs.


The parties also discussed possibilities for cooperation with the Union of Turkic World Engineers and Architects in reconstruction projects in Karabakh.
