Turkey's benchmark stock index opened at 1,424.47 points on Tuesday, rising 0.28% or 3.98 points from the previous close.
At Monday's close, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index was down by 0.11% at 1,420.49 points, with a daily trading volume of 12.95 billion Turkish liras (over $1.5 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate fell to 8.4800 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT) on Tuesday, from 8.5020 at the previous close.
The euro/Turkish lira exchange remained unchanged at 10.3700, while one British pound traded for 12.1000 Turkish liras, up from 12.0420.
One barrel of Brent crude oil sold for around $70.40 as of 10 a.m. local time (0700GMT).
