Azerbaijan has ranked 63 of 138 countries, with a power index: 1.0472, in the 2021 revised Global Firepower rating, up from 64 in the previous version of the ranking, Trend News Agency reported citing the aggregating website on Thursday.
As for other South Caucasian countries, Georgia came in 92nd place, while Armenia ranked 100.
When compiling the Global Firepower ranking, factors such as manpower, air-power, land and naval strength, logistics and finances were taken into account.
The size of the military budget, external debt, foreign exchange reserves of a country, and its purchasing power, are all important indicators that factor into the ranking.
The top three positions in the ranking were occupied by the U.S., Russia, and China respectively.
