Austrian defender Alaba moves to Real Madrid from Bayern

Real Madrid reached an agreement with Austrian defender David Alaba on a five-year contract, the Spanish football side announced on Friday.

"David Alaba will be unveiled as a new Real Madrid player after the end of the 2021 European Championship," Real Madrid said in a statement.

Alaba, 28, has been an integral part of his previous club Bayern Munich as he produced 33 goals and 55 assists in 431 games.

He also helped Bayern win two UEFA Champions League titles, and two UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup trophies each.
